New Metro Line from the Airport to the City

From this month forward the city of Lisbon will be even more attractive in terms of public transportation  for tourists. Getting to know the city of lights will be faster and cheaper. This month a new metro line will be inaugurated that finally links the city to Lisbon Airport.

According to the Financial Agency the line from the ‘Oriente’ metro Station to the Airport, will have a deep impact into Lisbon transportation network, and hopefully will increase the tourism flow. According metro officials  the amount of time to from the the Airport to the ‘Gare do Oriente’ in be only 5 minutes, which means that the city center is 20 minutes away from the airport.

The Lisbon Metropolitan President, Cardoso dos Reis, reinforces that the objective of the Metropolitan is to provide a cheaper, faster and comfortable means of transportation to all residents and tourist to make the city the more dynamic possible.
